Lincoln Christ's Hospital School
Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School is a genuinely all-ability comprehensive school of approximately 1,400 students serving a very mixed catchment area including pupils from the most socially deprived district of Lincoln, as well as isolated outlying villages. 13% of our pupils do not use English as their first language and 10% are from Eastern Europe.
The school has had Language College status since 2001, and offers teaching in eight languages
Lincolnshire is not a cosmopolitan county and programmes such as Erasmus+ are invaluable for raising expectations and widening horizons.
Since 2003 Lincoln Christ's Hospital School has hosted over 30 Comenius training events for teachers from across Europe. These have included Transversal weeks, job-shadowing for French, Romanian, Dutch, and Guadeloupan colleagues, and most recently a Portuguese Science teacher and three groups from Poland across our primary cluster.
